Charles J Wright Jr.

Charles J Wright, Jr., 91, of Paradise, IN, passed away Friday, January 09, 2015. He was born June 26, 1923, to the late Charles J Wright, Sr. and Mildred Dorsey Wright. He retired from Alcoa after 20 years where he was a Maintenance Mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army under General Patton during WWII in the European Theater Operation. Charles was a life member of VFW Post 1114. He was a member of the Evansville Coin Club and the Tri-State Corvette Club. His hobbies were computers, coin collecting, auto racing and Corvettes. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents; sister, Joyce Williams; brother, Jerry Wright; and son-in-law, Greg Hollander. He is survived by sons, Chuck Wright (Glenda), Joe Wright (Joyce); daughters, Charlotte Wright, Margaret Graves (Sam), Martha Hollander; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Keith Knea with burial at Ellis Cemetery in Boonville. Military Honors will be performed at the cemetery by Warrick County Veterans Memorial Service. Friends may visit 3-8 PM on Monday and 9 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
