Christine married the love of her life, Richard Leaf, on October 1, 1966. Shortly after, they moved to Great Falls, Montana, where she earned double degrees in English and Sociology from the University of Great Falls.
Later, Christine moved to Newburgh, Indiana, to be closer to her mother, Louise. She worked for a time as a floral manager at Schnucks Markets. She also served for many years as an interpreter for the deaf with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation at Bosse High School. In addition to her work in the school system, Christine was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Evansville, where she taught American Sign Language (ASL) until her passing.
Christine is survived by her husband, Richard.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services.
