Clara Lou Tucker Martin, 89, of Newburgh, passed away Friday morning, February 08, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born August 26, 1923, in Olney, IL, the daughter of Alvin Tucker and Kathleen Doherty Tucker.
She was a member of Boonville Main Street United Methodist Church, OES Chapter and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Clara Lou was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Tobin Devers; and brother, Thomas A. Tucker.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William “Brooks” Martin of Newburgh; son, Kenneth D. Weyerbacher of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Brooklyn Farless of Evansville, IN, and Bradford L. Devers of Lafayette, IN; great-grandchildren, Brydan L. Harper and Patience C. Farless, both of Evansville; son-in-law, Brian Devers of Evansville; brother, David D. Tucker (Aleda) of Chesapeake, VA; sister-in-law, Barbara Tucker of Greensboro, NC.
A memorial service is planned for family and friends in the Spring.
