Clarice Duffy

She was a talented dancer and dance was her life-long passion. She won a gold medal in tap and was a lifetime member of the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England. She taught ballet for several years at Sylvia’s School of Dance and the University of Evansville. In retirement, she taught ballroom dancing with her husband for the Snowbird Club in Destin, FL.

Clarice attended Abundant Life Community Church in Newburgh.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles F. Duffy, on October 21, 2011; and her parents.

Clarice is survived by daughters, Charlene Long (John) of Reston, VA, Cheryl Pleuss (Brian) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Jared, Jessica, Lara, Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Christian, Cohen, Charlie, Ethan, Chase, Alayna and Aaron.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Pastor Troy Boulware, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday, from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
