Their love story began in the most unexpected way—meeting in an elevator while vacationing in Jamaica. What started as a chance encounter blossomed into 41 years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to one another and their family.
David was a beloved businessman whose generosity and warm personality earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues, customers, and friends alike. Aileen was a retired medical office assistant who dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion, patience, and kindness. Together, they were cherished members of their community and beloved neighbors, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a friendly conversation.
Above all else, David and Aileen's greatest joy was their family. They were devoted parents to their children, Maegan (Chad) and Ryan, and treasured every moment spent with their five grandchildren, Axton, Alaina, Hudson, Madisyn, and Nolan. Their home was filled with love, laughter, and the happy companionship of their beloved dog, Gladys.
They also leave behind their loving siblings, Ed, Kathy, Tim, and Lu Ann, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and neighbors who will forever cherish their memories.
David and Aileen loved each other fiercely, and that love became the foundation of the family they created together. Though they will be deeply missed, the countless memories they shared with those they loved will continue to bring comfort and inspiration.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate David and Aileen's lives during visitation on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, Indiana.

David and Aileen will be remembered not only for their accomplishments, but for the extraordinary love they shared, the kindness they extended to others, and the family that was always at the center of their lives. Their legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know and love them.
