Debra was known for her outgoing personality, strong will, and loving heart. She was full of life, loved having fun, and was never afraid to speak her mind. She had a tough side and didn't put up with much nonsense, but that was part of what made her so special. Those who knew her will always remember her one-of-a-kind personality and the love she had for those around her.
Debra had a special love for animals and enjoyed spending her time feeding them and sitting out back of her home watching the river. She also loved watching her favorite television shows on repeat, crocheting, and painting ceramics. It was these simple things that brought her happiness and made her who she was.
Throughout her life, Debra spent many years serving as a state-appointed guardian, helping and advocating for individuals who were unable to care for themselves. After retiring from that role, she continued working as a school bus driver.
Debra is survived by her three children, Sean (Jill) Faver, Lisa Norton, and Kim Humphrey; her two stepchildren, Matthew (Erin) Endress and Jackie Endress (Andy Sears); her grandchildren, Chloe Faver, Gavin Faver, Steven (Taneal) Norton, Jackie Endress, Francis Endress, and Tate Endress; her many great-grandchildren; Kianah Hardin, Cylus Hardin, Keyven Norton and Camdyn Norton; brothers, Ronald Jennings, Victor Jennings, and Andrew Jennings.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Endress; her granddaughter, Haley Crumb; and her brother, Mark Jennings.
Debra will be remembered for her strong spirit, loving heart, and the laughter and memories she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she leaves behind will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel in Newburgh, Indiana, with services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Debra's memory and celebrate her life.
