My condolences to family. Mr. and Mrs. Heckman, Trent Heckman and Rece Heckman.

As a child I watched those Spencer Cops play every home game and in center field was Denny Williams. I remember that incinerator and snow fence in center field. As that long fly ball was headed over the fence, I witnessed Denny jump, catch and topple over the snow fence.

What I took from that moment is the dedication one must have in order to be successful.

Denny was a guy I always admired. The grocery business is always in transition yet Denny always landed on his feet and got a good job. Would like to know his secret. I used to use him as an example to people on how to fireproof your career. I think because everyone in the business knew him and knew he was a good employee. I remember meeting his dad many years ago when I was on assignment in Evansville. Must run in the family.

Denny was so fun to be around. I worked with him on many projects with Laurel Grocery and Denny was a one-of-a-kind person. We had so many great times at dinner every night we out on the road taking care of business. He spoke very highly of his family especially his wife. I am so grateful that he was in my life. My condolences to the family and other friends of Denny he be sadly missed. God Bless
