Donna M. Smith

She was a 1966 graduate of Rex Mundi High School. Donna was employed for 25 years at General Foods and also worked for Western & Southern Life Insurance. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Indiana Pacers, playing Clabber, and caring for her beloved cats. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Frank W. Smith in 2003 and brother, Greg Coomes.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Smith; daughter, Becky Williams; grandchildren, Zia and Anaya Williams; sisters, Debbie Coomes and Doris Blake; brothers, Ted Coomes (Cathy), Harold Coomes (Gayle), Doug Coomes and Joe Coomes, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2026 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Fr. Tom Kessler, with burial in St. John Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday March 29, 2026 at the funeral home.
