Gayle, I was so sorry to read about Don’s passing. I know he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and teacher. We had some fun times at Caze picnics. May you feel the strength of the Lord particularly at this time.

He was my Social Studies teacher at Plaza Park. Never will forget his "Chinese Proverbs"! I still tell others about how my crazy teacher karate chopped a wasp one day. He said it never crossed his mind that it could have stung him. What a fun and engaging teacher. Mr. Compton sure looked cool in his green Camaro. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss.

Mr. Compton was such a dynamic middle school teacher back in the 90’s. He will be missed by so many.

We met Don when his son,Jon, and our daughter, Julie, decided to get married.
Don was easy to like and really enjoyable to talk with. He was funny and a proud father and grandfather. He will be missed but will always be remembered.
Rest In Peace my friend.

Bill and Peggy Carter
