She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Newburgh. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Woelfel, Jr. in 2005.
She is survived by sons, Ronald (Carrie) Woelfel, Charles T. (Christie) Woelfel; grandchildren, Christina May Peak, Justin Curtis Woelfel, and Carl Herman Woelfel; sister, Bernice Johannsen; and great grandson, Titus Peak.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 20, 2012, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4200 Epworth Road, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Rev. Thomas Vanselow, with burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Friends may visit Sunday, 1-5 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, and 9 AM until service time, Monday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
