She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church since July 16, 1950.
Edath was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Rainey on June 13, 1989; and daughter, Janice, in March, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Harleen Bullock of Robards, KY; son, F. Thomas Rainey (Ann) of Chandler; daughter, Glenda Jo Temple of Newburgh; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lilly White of Granite City, IL; and Lola Cato of Dyersburg, TN.
Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Nall, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, 2-8 PM, at the funeral home.
