Edward Harry Krogman

Ed Krogman, 91, of Newburgh, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born December 7, 1928 in Bellevue, KY to the late Edward Joseph and Grace P. (McCain) Krogman.
He retired from Owensboro Mercy Health System at the age of 79 after working over 25 years as a Biomedical Engineer. Ed was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and formerly an active volunteer with the Bellevue Kentucky fire department. He attended Redemption Church in Newburgh. Ed truly loved God, his family and his work. He enjoyed swimming at Bob’s Gym, going to the Dollar General Store and eating at Red Lobster.
Edward was preceded in death by several sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Krogman; son, Eric Krogman (Christine); grandchildren, Cody Krogman, Declan Krogman and Lakin Krogman; sister, Fay Hoffman; sister in law to “brother Ed”, Terri Pomeroy (Randy), and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is eternally grateful to Dr. Patel and his staff at St. Vincent Hospital 6 East for their care.
A Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Pastor Brad Ferris, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will perform military rites graveside. Friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020 and Friday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
