Raised in rural Daviess County, Kentucky, Louise lost her mother at the age of one. She was brought up by her grandmother who taught her to appreciate the many positive gifts that life has to offer and to spread love to those around you.
Louise went on to become a devoted wife, charismatic aunt to many, and an adoring mother of eight children. Having lived through the Great Depression, she and her husband Jim spent their whole life sacrificing to provide a wonderful environment for their children in a warm, Christian home.
After their youngest was in school, Louise decided to enter the workforce starting at the cafeteria at St. Benedict’s Catholic School and later worked as a housekeeper at St. Mary’s Hospital, where she retired.
A sly card player, Louise loved challenging her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to match her wits. She greatly enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with the ones who loved her and whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Goldie May Wood, a son, James R. Wedding, Jr., grandson, R.D. Wedding, Jr., daughter-in-law, Pat Wedding, son-in-law, Michael Brown, and her loving husband of 71 years, James Robert Wedding, Sr.
