George D. Rogers, Jr., (CW2 Ret.), 77, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017, of natural causes at his home in Newburgh, Indiana. A true patriot, a man amongst men. He was born June 19, 1940, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Booth Rogers (Bobby).
George leaves behind a wife, Brenda L. Rogers of 54 years of marriage; two children, George D. Rogers III (Trace) and Melissa S. Flahaut, her husband, Paul D. Flahaut, Jr. and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Myleigh, and Joseph (Joey). He was a true friend to all that knew him. He was an avid golfer and truly loved the game.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. He will be given Military Honors.
