Gerald R. Hicks

Gerald R. Hicks, age 73, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Gerald was born August 18, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Vernon and Ida (Townsend) Hicks. Gerald graduated from Harrison High School in 1966 and worked for Alcoa for many years. He loved his wife and family tremendously. Fishing and putting his feet in the sand at the beach were his favorite pastimes. Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Hicks; five grandchildren, Zachery, Brandon, and Allyssa Hicks and Ryan and Evan Gowens; two great grandchildren; sister, Nancy; and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Goodman) Hicks; daughter, Geri Gowens; his parents, and his siblings, Mary Ann, Betty, and Russ. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Final resting place will be next to his beloved wife, Beverly at Park Lawn Cemetery.
