Glenda "Faye" Smith

Faye was born October 23, 1940 in Newburgh, IN, until September 11, 2004 when she relocated to live with her sister and brother-in-law in Alabama.

She was very happy and loved everyone. She had many friends and loved her church where she worked in the nursery. Faye will be remembered by all that knew her sweet smile and warm personality.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Hoover and Louise Miller Smith.

Faye is survived by her sisters, Judith (Walter) Barton of Anniston, AL, Lois Farrand of Newburgh, IN, and Nancy (Paul) Faucett of Evansville, IN; eight nieces and nephews; thirteen great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Magnolia Place, Dr. Brunda Revanna, and Amedisys Hospice for the excellent care of their sister.

Funeral services for Faye will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Marla Weller with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
