

He had been an electrician with Whirlpool Corporation. Jack was mostly known for his honorable service in the 101st Airborne Division and 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of American Legion Kapperman Post #44 in Newburgh and the VFW in Boonville. Jack enjoyed fishing and patriotism. He was loved by all how knew him, especially his brothers-in-arms at the Newburgh American Legion #44.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Dave Hiatt.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Sue (Eden) Hiatt; daughters, Christine Wolfe-Tingey of Avon, IN and Regina Hiatt; son, Larry Cardwell of Madison, IN; grandchildren, Raynie, Damien, Dartanion, Deagan, Lucy, David and Daniel Hiatt, Zarrien and Maxxen Tingey, and Alancin Wolfe.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, March 20, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
