He was kind, loving and a friend to all who crossed his path. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed his pet cat, Sparkles.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marilyn (Songer) Hardy.
He is survived by his two brothers, Charles “Tony” (Vickie) Hardy of Evansville and Stephen (Brenda) Hardy of West Columbia, SC; his two sisters, Rita Hardy and Melanie (Frank) Kelley, both of Evansville; his significant other of 23 years, Barbara Hagan; and her children and grandchildren. Along with his siblings, he is survived by his six nephews, Little Tony, Brian, Robbie, Curtis, Travis and Alex; and his four nieces, Sharleen, Alexis, LeAnna and Heather; and several great nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday by the family. James’s contagious smile and laugh will be greatly missed.
