Jane Annettte Shoulders

Jane Shoulders, of Newburgh, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. She was born September 16, 1937, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Jack and Ethel Seiter. She lived there until she was widowed in 1975 and moved to Indiana in 1976.

Jane was a stay-at-home mom for many years, but when she moved to Indiana opened and operated Teen Street and then worked at C. Larry Rhodes State Farm Insurance, Scotty’s Lawn Equipment, and Bassemiers.

Jane was proceeded in death by Richard Wedertz, the father of her four children, Henry Shoulders, to whom she was married for 26 years, and brother, Brent Seiter.

Jane will be remembered as someone easy to smile, easy to laugh, and had a great sense of humor. She is survived by children, Scott Wedertz (Marianne), Krista Greenfield (Dennis), Jeanene Hupy, and Robert Wedertz (Mary); grandchildren, Aimee Huffer (Shad), Kristen Busk (Travis), Jessica Harthcock (Adam), Emily Rester (Wes), Lauren Pilny (Chris), Hannah Clements (Mark), Olivia Hopper (Dylan), Addy Hupy, Egan Wedertz, Dreyden Wedertz, Amelia Hupy, Gus Wedertz, and Anneliese Wedertz; great-grandchildren, Cole Rester, Jameson Harthcock, Wilder Pilny, Eliza Rester, and Isabella Harthcock; bonus children, Leisa Shoulders, Britt Shoulders (Laurie), and Jennifer Shoulders (deceased); bonus grandchildren, Brittany Nelson (Josh) and Tyler Shoulders (Allecia); bonus great-grandchild, Abby; sister, Jo Parsell; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh, with visiting hours from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the service.
