Joann was born on March 7, 1938 to William and Marcella Smith. Joann was one of 18 children. She married Jack R Hines Sr. on May 16th 1959. Joann retired from Uniseal in Evansville, IN in 1991. She loved to play bingo with her many friends over the years, going to the horse races, getting deals at yard sales and spending time with her family.
Joann is survived by 5 children, Jack Hines Jr, Cindy Loper (Lane Schnell), Clifford Hines, Jesse Hines (Darlene), and William Hines; Grandchildren, Brandi Hosack (Matt), Bradley Loper (Erin), Jessica Foley (Kayle), Kaila Beyers (Jeremy), Ashley Hines, Emily Hines and Kendra Hines, and 15 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by Sisters, Anita Mayo, Dorothy Hurt, Francis Smith, Jill Sandefur, Debbie Werner, & Shirley Groves, Brothers, twin James, Robert, Michael, Jack, and Donnie Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her Husband Jack Hines Sr, Grand-daughter, Alyssa Hines, her Mother and Father, five sisters and one brother.
Joann loved to make people smile and had a great sense of humor, she will be missed by all who loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dan Kennedy, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
