Joanne Lee Ebig

Joanne L. Ebig, age 88, of Newburgh, Indiana, formerly of Freeport, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Joanne was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 6, 1933 to the late John and Frances Lee of Pittsburgh.

Joanne graduated as valedictorian of Freeport High School and attended Grove City College, in Grove City, PA. Joanne worked with her husband to help run their business, Ebig Pharmacy, in Freeport, PA, for many years

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Sue Charlton (Jeff), of Newburgh; grandchildren, Brandon and Spencer Charlton; brothers, Alan (Roseanne) Lee and Daniel (Betty) Lee; and many nieces and nephews.

At request of the family, there will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeport, officiated by the Rev. Eric Damon. A burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Freeport.
