

Joyce graduated from New Harmony High School in 1955. She received her Bachelor's Degrees in both Accounting and Education from ISUE and her Masters Degree from University of Evansville. Joyce worked as an accountant for ISUE for several years and also taught accounting classes at U of E. She also worked as a bank president for a year in Illinois and in the oil industry for 40 plus years until she was 80.
She was a member of Living Word Church. Joyce put God first in her life and made sure her children and grandchildren attended church with her. She was a member of the Desk and Derrick Club, Tri-State Athletic Club since 1983 and was recently attending their hot yoga classes. She was also a member of the Corvette Club. Joyce lived her life to the fullest. She would go to movies, parties, travel (she loved the beach), dine out with family and friends and was an Elvis fan. She was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Crabtree; granddaughter, Andrea Brink and siblings, James Copher and Roy Copher.
She is survived by her children, Pam Sutfin, Jacalyn Kuester (Jeff) and Michael Crabtree (Barbara); grandchildren, Tiffany Rittichier (John), Jacob Brink, Staci Purvis (Wesley), Kelli Brink (Chuck), Jereme Galloway, and Michael Crabtree, Jr.; great grandchildren, Katelynn Rogers, Julian Rittichier, Eli Rittichier, Calvin Rittichier, Olive Galloway, Vaughn, and Vin Self, and siblings, Linda Peckham and Tony (Tomi) Copher.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
