

He was an entrepreneur in Newburgh, and with his wife, Mary Ann, started Maken Corporation. Over the years, Maken Corporation helped expand Newburgh into a thriving community by starting numerous subdivisions and commercial developments. As his four children joined the business, they worked together to increase the business by adding home building and other business ventures. Kenny also served the community as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Warrick County and was a member of the Southwestern Indiana Builders’ Association.
Kenny was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He gave his time, talent and treasures freely. He was instrumental in many building projects including the new church building, Mother Teresa Treasurers, Warrick County Food Bank, and the St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery and Mausoleum. In 2009, Kenny and Mary Ann were presented with the Brute’ Award by the bishop for their giving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Roberta Ubelhor.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Ubelhor; sons, Daniel, Steven (Kelly), Jeffrey and Kevin Ubelhor; grandchildren, Sayward, Zachary, Courtney, Bryanna, Bryce and Hannah Ubelhor; step-grandchildren, Robert and John Fawcett; sisters, Donna (Art) Rodgers, Joanne Haas, Mary (Forrest) Meuth and Sharon and Harroll Meuth.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, Newburgh, officiated by Fr. Joseph Ziliak with entombment in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery and Mausoleum. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 2691, and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
