Lara Lee Porter

She graduated from North High School and the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in education. Lara was involved in whatever her daughter, Jess, was doing. Being a mom was the greatest joy in her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Conway; grandfather, Verner Conway; grandfather and grandmother, John and Evangeline Matherly; and grandmother, Venita Reininga.

Lara is survived by her husband of 24 years, Nick Porter; daughter, Jess Porter; mom and dad, Glenna and Terry Reininga; sister, Tara Green (Derek); brother-in-law, Monty Porter (Susan); sisters-in-law, Keely Porter (Kim), Natalie Colvin (Tim), Paige Freitag (Christian); mother and father-in-law, Charles and Sandy Porter; grandfather, Alton Reininga; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.

Jess’ education was very important to Lara, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jess’ college fund at any Heritage Federal Credit Union, or your favorite charity.
