She was welcomed into Heaven by her sister Jackie, grandson Nicholas, and her beloved husband, Tony. We rejoice knowing that she is at peace! Linda was born in Marion, IL on February 19, 1948 to Mary and Norman Sloan. Mary survives.
Linda later moved to Chicago, IL and met the love of her life, Tony Capozziello. They had 3 children and the family moved to Newburgh, IN in 1986. Linda retired from store management with JCPenney. Tony and Linda were married 54 years until Tony’s death on November 19, 2020.
Linda attended The Cathedral for over 30 years. Linda was a worshiper of Jesus and a prayer warrior. She spent much of her time in God’s word and in intercessory prayer. Linda loved fashion, cooking amazing Italian dinners and baking delicious desserts, working in her yard, and travel. She loved to spend time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her son, Anthony Capozziello (Penny) of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Christina Bowman (Bill) of Newburgh, IN, and daughter Catherine Dugger (Ray) of Kansas City, KS; brother-in-law Vito Capozziello (Elaine) of Westchester, IL. The family would like to thank our mother’s sisters in Christ: Cheryl Camp, Janet Douglas, Rita Fox, Teri Grimwood, Stacy Goudreau, Debbie Jochem, Shela McDowell and Heather Williams for their many years of loving and Godly friendship. Mom had many good times with these precious women of God. Prayer, beach trips, shopping and lots of ice cream! They were a great help to the family and with making mom smile in her last days. The family would also like to thank Heritage Hospice and Nancy Brown, RN and Deaconess Hospice Kristi Gardner, RN.
