Louis H. Appel III, 86, of Newburgh, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born November 20, 1936 in Baltimore, MD to the late Louis H. Appel II and Thelma G. (Poist) Appel.
He lived in Baltimore before moving to Newburgh to be closer to his family after the death of his wife, Juanita. He lived at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh before his death. Louis loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful dad, grandpop and great grandpop, was very much loved and will truly be missed.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Appel, who he married on June 15, 1956.
He is survived by his only brother, Ron Appel (wife, Fran); his daughter, Victoria Cox (husband, Nelson); his son, Gary Appel; grandsons, Nathan Forshey (wife, Beth) and Justin Forshey (wife, Katie) and great grandchildren, Hallie, Landon, Kinsley, Bryn and Eden (who is on the way).
Louis’ wishes were to be cremated with no services.
