Lucy D. Lowery passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on January 2, 1953, at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA to the late Gene and Mary McCarty. She was raised in the Bawcomville community of West Monroe, LA
.
Lucy graduated from West Monroe High School and later retired from State Farm Insurance after many years of service.
She enjoyed traveling, trying her luck at the casino, visiting the park to watch birds, and spending time enjoying the beauty of nature.
Lucy was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth McCarty; and her husband, Raymond Lowery.
She is survived by her sisters, Jeannie Hickman and Linda Kelly; her sons, Daniel Verrett and Mark Verrett; her daughter, Ola Davis; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
