Lynne was born in England in 1940, and moved to the United States in 1961 after she married her husband, Bob, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Over the years she was a valued employee at several local companies, and was an integral part of the foundation and success of the family business, Tri-State Repair Service. She was a gifted crafter, knitter and seamstress and could often be found creating items to donate to local churches and organizations. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; always full of spirit and fight.
Lynne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Wheeler; daughters Donna Marcrum (Rick), Delia Carey (Shawn), and Julie Wucki (Steve); grandchildren Amy Marcrum, Sarah Marcrum, Caitlyn Carey, Adam Carey, Joshua Wucki and Michael Wucki; and brothers Martyn Owen and Darrell Owen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Owen, and her sister, Gayle Belcher.
The family wishes to thank everyone who was so caring and helpful during Lynne’s battle with cancer, especially in her final days. She fought bravely and always appreciated the support of family, friends, and medical staff.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 100 East Michigan Street, Evansville, IN, 47711, on August 9, 2015 at 1:00pm, with a celebration of life reception to follow in the school meeting rooms.
