

Marcella Mary Hartz Scheller Yarbray of Newburgh, Indiana passed peacefully to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith and attended St. Rupert's Church. Marcella was known by all to be a kind, considerate and loving person. She loved to laugh and be with family and friends, of whom she had many. Marcella was a voracious reader and she loved to paint. Many of her family and friends were graced with her artwork attesting to her talent.
Marcella was one of eleven children born to Al and Agnes Hartz whom preceded her in death. Also preceding Marcella is her three brothers, Robert, Theodore and Herb, four sisters, Arlene, Wilma, Roberta and Cecilia. Surviving Marcella are her sisters, Patty Doogs
and Millie Green (Stan) and brother Kenny (Rita K). She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Candy Yarbray Englebert (Rob Clayton) and stepson Larry Yarbray, II (Tracy), grandson, Avery Warren Yarbray, and granddaughter, Lily Grace Yarbray, both of
whom she adored and was known as Nana. Marcella has many nieces and nephews whom she also adored.
Marcella worked at Central Industries, Swanson and Nunn through Alcoa. She was known as a hard and conscientious worker who gave 125% to each task assigned to her.
Marcella was loved and she loved two incredible men, Ralph Scheller and Larry Yarbray, both of whom she nursed through cancer robbing her of their precious lives together. She never spoke ill of her losses but relished the time she had each husband during their time together on Earth.
Marcella will be sorely missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at St. Rupert Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 12:00 p.m. until service time at church.
