

Marian Rose Schmidt, 84, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born on September 6, 1929, in St. Anthony, Indiana to parents, August and Clara (Miller) Troxler.
Marian was a long time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, reading, and playing cards. At Willow Park Marian was an avid bingo player.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Charles Schmidt, Sr.; daughter, Diane Crowe; brother, Tony Troxler; sisters, Bea Elmore, Ruth Klueh, Augusta Sternberg, and Corneila Hauser.
She is survived by her son, Charles L. (Shelia) Schmidt, Jr. of Huntingburg; daughter, Shelia (Ron) Hass of Newburgh; son-in-law, Larry Crowe of Evansville; granddaughter, Kerri Jennings; grandson, Kyle (Amy) Schmidt; granddaughter, Kristine Hass; grandson, Kevin Hass; sisters, Irma Bromm and Clara Mae Margarida; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Father Ted Tempel, with burial to follow. Friends may visit Monday, June 2, 2014, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
