Her first love was being on the river, fishing with her family. She enjoyed many hobbies. She was an avid wood carver and belonged to the Tri-State Woodcarvers. Martha was a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frederick Lee Newlin, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Reva Brauns; and her brother, John Brauns.
Martha is survived by her daughters; Kathleen Ingram of Boonville, IN, Karen Lee McKnight (Craig) of Madisonville, KY; son, Michael Newlin of Newburgh, IN; brother, Frank Brauns of Nevada; grandchildren, Richard Bratcher (Kelley), Jake McKnight, Alissa, Alec and Aaron Newlin; great-grandson, Aden Bratcher; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
