Mary Colleen McClaskey

Mary Colleen (Englebright) McClaskey, 89, of Newburgh passed peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born July 9, 1934 in Wadesville, IN to the late Norman and Edna (Wade) Englebright.

She was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. After retiring from Bristol Meyers, she lived a full and vibrant life with travel, trips to the beach and spoiling her grandchildren. She always put people at ease with her smiles, laughter and engaging personality.

Colleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Ann Morris; brothers Jerry, Owen, and Tommy Englebright.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy M. Barancik (David); granddaughters, Hannah and Abigail; siblings, Helen Ann Willett and Jimmy Englebright; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her wonderful caregivers at Gentiva Hospice in her final days, and the staff at Primrose Memory Care for the gentle, loving care the past several years.

A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday May 20, 2024 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial following in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wadesville. Family and friends may visit Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
