

She was born Pamela Baird August 23, 1943, in Evansville. Her parents were Roscoe Baird and Katherine Shipley. She graduated from Evansville’s Memorial High School. On September 1, 1962, she married Jeffrey Orth Gardner, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2007.
She resided most of her life in and around Newburgh, where she was a member of Newburgh’s Women’s Club. She was employed by Indian Industries and later at Meetings & Events International. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. She lived in Richmond, Ky., since early 2007.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa Gardner Berry, Richmond, Ky.; and Jeffrey Todd Gardner, Evansville, Ind.; son-in-law Chad Berry and grandchildren Madelaine Olivia Gardner Berry and Nathaniel Graham Gardner Berry of Richmond.
She also leaves behind many steadfast and dear friends, many of whom were able to see her in her last days. She made friends very easily and brought a ray of sunshine to their lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, officiated by Father Attila Frohlich with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday, 5-8 PM, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
