

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to a beloved husband, father and grandfather, Paul G. Herron, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 83. Paul was born in Evansville, IN on April 12, 1941.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Beverly J. Herron; his daughters, Tracey L. Vibbert (Terry), Cassandra L. Goad, Angela D. Porter (Brent); his son, Paul G. Herron Jr. (Jennifer) and nine grandchildren, Jared Vibbert (Katy), Daniel Vibbert (Lorraine), Emilie Phillips (Zachary), Sean Vibbert, Alec Porter, Olivia Goad, Elaina Henson (Braden), Mia Pizarro Herron and Ava Pizarro Herron. He was one of eight children and is survived by his brother, Roger Herron and sisters, Alisa Beeny and Yvonne Plunkette.
Paul was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed studying the Bible and listening to the teachings of Chuck Missler and David Jeremiah. He was a member of Bethel Church for many years. He was a devoted husband and father, loved by his children and grandchildren. Paul led a very active and full life. He graduated high school in Hanson, KY and attended Murray State. He started out as a carpenter and learned the trade from his father, Walter. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union 224. He traveled the country working in cooling tower construction. He was the project manager building one of the largest nuclear power plants in Susquehanna, PA, followed by overseeing the construction of the cooling towers in Rockport, IN. He was also a consultant on various projects in many states.
Paul was known for his ingenuity for home construction and repair. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed wood working, pouring concrete, plumbing, electrical, welding and working on engines. He was a commercial scuba diver and earned his private pilot's license in 1967. He enjoyed flying, amusement parks, gardening, golfing, video gaming and spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, officiated by Pastor David Schwambach, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
