

Phyllis Ann (Heldt) Lowe, 77, of Newburgh, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Charlier Hospice Center at Deaconess VNA Plus in Evansville. She was born September 22, 1939, in Newburgh to the late Earl and Madeline (Admire) Heldt, Sr.
She was a member of the Sprinklesburg DAR and sold Avon and Tupperware for many years, but above all was a devoted homemaker. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Olive General Baptist Church. She was also a lifetime member of the National Campers and Hikers Association and a local member of Chigger Diggers and Pleasure Way Camping Clubs.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Wayne Lowe, on February 9, 2017; parents; and brother, Earl Heldt, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Steve) Baker of Newburgh and Cindy (Alan) Russell of Evansville; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Lauren Baker, both of Newburgh, and Matt (Alyssa) and Ben (Casi) Anderson, both of Evansville; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Wyatt Anderson; and brother, Morris Heldt of California.
Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ken Slater. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.
