Randall (Randy) K. Canary, 68, of Newburgh passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital due to COVID-19. He was born July 3, 1952 in Evansville to the late Thomas and Bessie (Stilwell) Canary.
He was a member of Mt. Olive General Baptist Church in Newburgh. Randy began his career at Lloyd’s Machine Shop as a machinist apprentice. He then worked at EEMSCO for the next 20 years. He moved to WA and opened a bumper repair shop with is brother, Tom. Upon returning to Evansville, he opened his own machine shop, R & K Machine & Fabrication, Inc. in 2000. He was a member of Rolling Thunder and loved motorcycles. He enjoyed all of the biking trips he took with his brother, Tom. Randy also enjoyed hunting and looked forward each fall to deer hunting with his nephew, Tommy. He loved his two Bishon Frise dogs, Bear and Beau. They were his constant companions and napping buddies.
Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Wayne Canary.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Railey Canary; brothers, Tom Canary (Karen S.) of Louisville and Larry D. Canary of Chandler; sister, Sharon G. Pate of Evansville; nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends may 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. A private funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Rolling Thunder in Evansville for their Honor Flight.
