Rebecca Lynne Bryant

Rebecca Lynne Bryant, of Newburgh, IN passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the comfort of her home. She was 75 years of age. She was born in Gallatin, TN on August 15, 1948 to the late Harrel Nelson Locke and Florence Gardner Freeman Locke Fuqua.

Lynne studied accounting at Western Kentucky University and graduated in 1971. During her career, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Henderson Co School System and retired as grant administrator from the Bowling Green KY Board of Education in 2003. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who prized family above all else.

Lynne is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Rush.

Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dennis Bryant, of Newburgh, IN; a son, Dean Addison Bryant and his wife Marietta , of Louisville, KY; a son, David Bryant and his wife, Erin, of Evansville, IN; a daughter, Larae Bryant and her husband, Shane Dudfield, of Weehawken, NJ; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and her brother, Michael Locke.

A private family visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. A private family service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m.
