Robert “Bob” Allen Hamm, 78, of Kissimmee, FL formally from Newburgh, IN passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 quietly in his sleep. He was born on June 23, 1941 in Asher, IN to the late Ethel & Floyd Hamm.
Bob served in the 101st Hq Co. 2d Battalion Airborne 327th Infantry Third U.S. Army paratroopers until his Honorable Discharge. After his time in the Army, he took a position at Alcoa-Warrick operations where he worked 29 years before his retirement in 1994. Bob and Karen moved to Kissimmee, FL in 1999 where he continued his lifelong love of bass fishing with his friends & family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his best buddy Spike, his daughter’s Pug who will forever be by his side.
Bob is survived by his wife, Karen (Goehring); daughter, Caren “Chris” Cornett (Keith) from Manila, Philippines; son, David Hamm (Sara) of Chesapeake, VA; and his grandchildren, Justin and Alexandra “Ali” Cornett.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Dr. Larry Hamm with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
