She was born October 12, 1937, in Youngstown, OH, to the late Oscar and Betty Tolerton. Sandy graduated from the University of Iowa before moving to Bloomington, IN, and later to Newburgh, IN. She was a former member of the Junior League and a dedicated volunteer. Sandy was a realtor for Citizens Realty until she retired in 1996. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dudley Thomas, of Newburgh; daughter, Page Blunt (John) of Keller, TX; sisters, Lynn Whiteley of Grayslake, IL, Carla Wright (John) of Dallas, TX, Mimi Zabin (Wayne) of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren, Madison, Mitchell, and Marissa Blunt of Keller, TX.
There will be no services at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
