

He graduated from Poseyville High School and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Philpot, Kentucky. Tommy retired after 27 years with ALCOA, where he worked in general maintenance in the Cold Mill. He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with the Smith Township Fire Department in Cynthiana, Indiana, from 1982 to 1992. Tommy enjoyed collecting and appreciated firearms and knives.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cyndi (Westerfield) Johnson of Richland, IN; children, Erin Johnson of Oklahoma, Michael Johnson of Indianapolis, Emily Jacobs (Kayla) of Evansville, Alison Candler (Mike) of Evansville, Nicole Jenkins (Joshua) of Philpot, KY, and Leslie Gardner (Jonathon) of Belton, KY; 13 grandchildren; brother, Terry Johnson (Debi); sisters, Deb Farrar and Kelly Morlan (Joe); brother, Robert Johnson (Cheri), and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, J.A. Johnson, and brother-in-law, Jeff Farrar.
A Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026 at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Dr., with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit Friday from 12:00 p.m. until service time in the Chapel.
