Venita Gertrude Krueger

Her journey in life began on February 12, 1923 as the daughter of Anthony and Catherine Kaiser of Warrick County. Venita worked at Republic Aviaton in Evansville where she met her husband, James Bruce Krueger. She also worked at Central Industries and Hooks (CVS) Pharmacy.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and needlework. Yet, her devotion to God and her family were the focus of her life.

Venita was preceded in death by her husband, James Bruce Krueger; brothers, Marcellus Kaiser (Louise), Raymond Kaiser (Helen), Sylvester Kaiser (Naomi), and Carmen Kaiser (Lillian).

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Connie Horstman (Clem) of Evansville, and Kathy Wood (Allan) of Rockport; 5 grandchildren, Bruce Horstman (Chastidy), Bryan Horstman (Leta) of Evansville, Bradley Horstman of Kalamazoo, MI, Julie Bell (Doug) of Henderson, KY, and Jeff Wood of Rockport; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 11, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, IN. Friends may visit from 2:00 to7:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
