Virginia “Ginger” Lee Baird, 83, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Gateway Hospital. She was born March 9, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio to the late Rouse Baird and Ida Mae (Goldman) Baird.
Ginger is survived by her Nieces, Leegayle Denton (Anna), Kelly Denton (Carol), and Libby Ubelhor (Danny), many Great and Great Great Nieces, Great and Great Nephews, as well as Dear Friend and Caregiver Ellen Moore. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Sister Shirley Hammel and Nephew Thomas Dale Denton Jr.
Ginger was a charismatic, funny person who lived in Hawaii for over 55 years, serving as Vice-President & eventually as CEO of R. Baird & Co., Inc., which was founded by her Father in 1948. Ginger enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. One of her passions was golf, which she played for many years all over Hawaii and Las Vegas. She graduated from Elberfeld High School in Indiana. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
