William “Bill” R. Moore, Sr., 69, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at his home. He was born April 2, 1947, in Princeton, IN, to the late William and Sarah Moore.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of American Legion Kapperman Post 44 in Newburgh. Bill retired from Alcoa as a machinist after 40 years. He was member of the United Steel Workers Local 104. Bill enjoyed fishing and loved his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Doris Ann Moore.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Melissa Hux (William), Julie McGrew (Michael); son, William Moore, Jr. (Lacey); grandchildren, Alexa and Tanner Hux, John McGrew, Banks Moore, Brinkley Moore, Beckam Moore, Bennett Moore; and brothers, Larry Moore and Jerry Moore.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
