Wilma was a 1962 graduate of F. J. Reitz High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and working in her flower garden with her husband.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Donald E. Young; grandparents, Delmon and Iva Cooper; aunt, Bess Purvis who raised her along with her mother and her beloved dog, Izzy.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer J. Michel (Jeff); grandchildren, Conner Donald Michel, Tyler Jeffrey Michel.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Rd 261, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Rev. Greg Davis. Family and friends may visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in St. Pauls UCC church cemetery.
