Andrew Ross George

Andrew Ross George, U.S. Army Veteran, of Marathon, FL, formerly of Crestwood, IL, passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Beloved Husband of the late Mary Carol, nee Gonzales, for a loving 62 years. Devoted Father of Gerald Walter (Nancy), Anthony Emmett (Mary), Anne Marie, Roger Ryan (Jennifer), and the late David Lee. Proud Grandpa of Shannon, Sheena, Darian, Laura, Eddie, Tony, Dylan and Priscilla and Great-Grandpa of 8. Dear Son of the late Gerald Walter and Daisy, nee Connell. Fond Brother of Marylou (Hal) Hoffman, and the late Daisy (the late Tony) Plimbl, Thomas (the late Midge) and Teddy Schmidt. Uncle and Cousin of many.

Andrew started his own business, Better Built Garages, in 1956. He owned and operated it until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and enjoyed sitting by the ocean and listening to music.

A Memorial Visitation for Andrew will take place Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Inurnment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
