Tony is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Barbara (nee Olijar); his daughter Stephanie (Jeff Maddocks) and his son Michael. Loving Grandpa to Abby, Jackson, Sean, and Colin. Son of the late Louis and the late Stephanie Mucha. Brother to Mary Ann (Ken) Pienta, the late Carol (Al) Demske, the late Joan (Joe) Leon, and the late Louis Mucha. Brother-in-law of Don (Judie) Olijar, Dan (Cathy) Olijar, Helen (Gary) Barnes, Fran Olijar, Ray Olijar, Rosemary Olijar, Roger Olijar, and Christine Olijar. Dear cousin and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Tony was a native Chicagoan, born in Pilsen, the youngest of 5 children in a proud Polish family. Tony started his career as a tool and die maker, named Chicago's Apprentice of the Year in 1970. At age 58, with the support of Barbara, he and his partners took a chance and opened their own business. Nearly 20 years later, surviving economic crashes and a global pandemic, the business is a thriving international leader, supporting medical, energy, automotive, and aerospace industries, to name a few. Tony recently retired, leaving his business in the capable hands of the next generation.
Tony was a friend to all, a mentor to many, the life of the party, an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and boater who appreciated great music, good conversation, fine cars, tight hugs from his grandchildren, a warm sunny day, adventurous cuisine, and a well-aged, finely blended scotch. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
