I am writing for Mary Rita Klees.  We talked about your dad, mom and whole family last week, remembering lots of fun times.  I lived downtown during the last 10 years and when my mom was still able to get around we would meet with Art and Ruth for dinner in the summer.  Once enjoying a lovely outdoor meal on Navy Pier I was seated next to Art while Ruth and my mom chatted.  Ruth was wearing a beautiful diamond pendant and I commented on it to Art.  Art knew he gave it to her, maybe their 40th anniversary gift.  I later commented to Ruth about the diamond. Ruth told me she won it in a golf tournament.  We didn't stop giving Art a hard time about his mistake all evening.  I know there are lots of fun stories about your mom and dad, enjoy them all.  Louise Klees Haslett

Today we said Good-Bye to a very Special Friend. Although there is sadness, there is also PEACE knowing that Art is now with the Love of his Life, Ruth. They will both be so missed but their memory will live forever in our Hearts. Rest in Peace Art. Love, Gene & Marilyn Powers

I met Art several years ago through my sister, Cindy Hicks.  He was the personification of a gentleman.  Honor and chivalry were part of his natural character, and traits that will be long remembered.  He will be missed and my thoughts are with all his family.    Suzie Anderson
