I met A.J. through JJI, he was a co-worker and introduced himself instantly, never have i made a friend so fast. We connected through music of the metal variety and nerd stuff like Dungeons and Dragons. I met his father Art before i met A.J.,and Art set the pace for him. A wildly loving person and caring individual...you gathered this within seconds of meeting him. Profoundly dedicated, and unwavering loyalty. My heart is heavy and torn for the Smith family. A.J., you will live forever in our hearts and minds. Till we meet again my man.

One of my most favorite memories is of a night dedicated to Viking lore. I tend to seclude at Belegarth events due to anxiety and such... But AJ didn't allow me to do that. Although he was surrounded by friends and loved ones he'd take the time to make me feel comfortable and connected. One evening, a particularly difficult one for me, we stayed up all night talking about viking lore, his beliefs, and what all the universe holds... as well as about our mundane lives and how we'd connect them to our Belegarth ones if we could. Tltr; AJ made me feel at home, safe, and cared about. I'll forever remember his amazing laugh!

I met AJ about 7 years ago while i was hosting karaoke. We were talking in between singers and became friends shortly after that. His favorite song to song at karaoke was Outside from Staind at least at my gigs it was, and he always kept your attention when he had the mic. What i remember most though is the fact that he is a true friend anytime one of his buddies was in a mood or something happened he always made it a point to be there for him or her or them. Class act all the time. To his family and friends i send my condolences prayers and well wishes. R.I.P my friend you're gone too early but your memories will always remain.

Oh my goodness. I cannot believe this at all.

I went to high school with AJ. I will always remember him as a hilarious, outgoing, very intelligent guy.

There are no words that help during times like these. I hope you are at peace.

Rest In Peace, AJ. I only met you twice but you left a touching impression on me; with your shy, twinkling eyes; your beautiful bond with precious Tori, your kindness towards lovely Cassie.
I was hoping to know you better.

God bless you, Tiger, Mary, Cassie, Tori, Mary Kate and the many other people whose lives were lit by AJ. Tiger and Mary, your son was a good man, and will be sorely missed. May the good memories lift your sorrow.

I remember A.J. to be very funny and quick-witted with a sense of humor similar to my own. Every time I saw him we would joke and laugh so hard my sides would hurt. The world has a lot less mirth without him and he will be deeply and sorely missed.

It’s been 7 years since our falling out. We didn’t end on the best terms, but I wish I would of stayed in contact at least. One of my favorite memories of us were at my apartment where we would push the couches together in front of the tv and grab a bunch of snacks and have a long gaming session and fall asleep in any position we ended up in.
And the time we fasted for a while 24- hours with stavola, I almost passed out and he was so very passionate about fasting for this martyr; I cant remember the guy at all except he was Irish. Lol. But I stayed strong and finished the fast and how happy that made him. It was rare if he was unhappy and that beard! Gosh that thing got wild sometimes!
Randomly I’ve thought about those specific memories earlier in the week and I thought it was strange that you would of popped in my head. I guess there was a reason unknown till now. You’re going to be missed like hell man. I’m praying for your family and wishing them the best. I’ll see you again some day.
