August "Augie" C. Webster Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of August C. Webster Sr. “Augie”, age 74, long time resident of Burbank, IL. August passed away on February 17, 2025. Beloved husband of Joanne Webster (nee Leonard) for 53 loving years come April; Devoted father of August Jr. (Michelle), Eugene (Sharron) and Jenise (David); Cherished grandfather of Katherine (Nick), Samantha, Leah, Alexander, Cheyenne, Kody, Makayla, and Branden; August is preceded in death by his sister Regina and her husband William; Adored uncle of Amelia (Steve) Wozniak, William and Kyle.

August was a dedicated Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving his country before embarking on a fulfilling career as a union dock worker with Local Union 710 for 27 years. He was a devoted grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his grandchildren. A stalwart friend, his bond with Terry "Grip" Clark, Terry Ryan, the late Timmy Sheehan, and Richie Vody spanned over six decades, marked by laughter and loyalty. As a godfather to five, August's warm heart and unwavering support enriched the lives of those around him.

He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A visitation will take place at Blake Lamb Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, following with a chapel service at 12:00pm. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St, Alsip, Illinois.
