Bridget Mary “Bridie” McGowan (nee Lynch), age 95, passed away on July 24, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John Francis “Frank” McGowan, Sr.; loving mother of the late James, Thomas (Kathy), the late Dr. John Francis “Frank”, Jr. (Ann), the late William (Marie), Robert (Laurel), and Bridget Rickert (Jerome); dear sister of Patrick, Mary, Michael (d. infancy), Kathleen, Eugene, John, James, Joan, Maurice, Eileen, and Elizabeth (d. infancy); cherished grandmother of 20, and great-grandmother of many.
A visitation will take place from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at 10am located at St. John Fisher Parish, 10235 S. Fairfield Ave in Chicago, IL. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.
